Based on the new starting point of the party’s century-old history, the CPC Central Committee made a major decision to carry out the study and education of party history in 2021. The supreme leader put forward to the whole party the requirements of understanding history, enhancing trust, respecting morality and practicing history. During the investigation in Fujian, Guangxi, Qinghai and Xizang, the top leaders explained the four requirements in detail and personally guided the study and education.

The document is divided into 7 parts, with more than 36,000 words. This historic document was drafted by the Supreme Leader General Secretary personally. In the process of drafting, he presided over the The Politburo Standing Committee (PSC) meeting for many times and deliberated in Politburo meeting of the Chinese Communist Party. Under his leadership, the document drafting group extensively absorbed opinions and suggestions from all sides and made 547 amendments.
