The new favorite of urban SUV! Test drive Ford Sharp high-low model

Although there are only two Ford Sharp cars in this test drive, this is exactly the two models it introduced into China. ● The main difference in appearance between high and low models: the wheel hub is the most obvious
This time, Sharp introduced into China has two configurations, namely, the high-end model LIMITED and the low-end model SEL. There is almost no difference between their front faces, and the large-area chrome-plated mesh is full of domineering, which fully embodies the design philosophy of American cars, and the size of the FORD logo in the middle is not comparable to that of several domestic Ford cars.
The biggest difference between the high and low models is the style of the wheel hub. The low SEL model uses a Y-shaped wheel hub, which is very sporty, while the V-shaped electroplated wheel hub used in the high LIMITED model is more eye-catching. It is worth noting that the tire size of both models is 245/60 R18, and both brands are Michelin.
The side appearance of high and low models is also very similar, but there are some differences in details. The low-equipped SEL model has chrome-plated door handles, while the high-equipped LINITED model has the same color as the car body, and chrome-plated decorative strips on the bottom edge of the window are added. Another difference comes from the exterior rearview mirror. The low-profile model only adds a small mirror with different angles, while the high-profile model is equipped with a parallel line prompt system, and when the rear two lanes come, there will be light prompts.
The change of the tail is also very small. The main difference is that chrome trim strips are added on both sides of FORD’s logo in the high-profile model, while the SEL model is the same color as the body. Another difference comes from the configuration. The camera under the FORD logo shows that the high-profile model is equipped with a reversing visual system, while the SEL model is only a 4-probe reversing radar.
● The main difference between high and low models in central control and configuration is that there is a big gap between multimedia systems.
There is a big difference between the center console of high and low models, especially the middle control panel. The low-profile model is only equipped with a very common audio and air conditioning system, while the high-profile model is equipped with MyFord Touch car multimedia system, which is also one of the selling points of Sharp, so friends who want to choose low-profile models must consider this.

In addition, there are many differences in the configuration of high and low models, such as the touch control system from SONY. Although it may not be much stronger in functionality, the visual effect of this panel is obviously not comparable to that of ordinary dual-zone automatic air conditioners with low models. In addition, it should be noted that the function of electrically closing the trunk lid on high-equipped models is not available on low-equipped models, so it is not too hard to manually close the door.
● Daily storage: the central armrest box is very practical
In the last real shot article, I focused on the ride space and trunk storage space of Sharp, so this article focused on the storage space commonly used in daily driving.

Sharp’s daily storage capacity is very strong, and there are practical storage spaces in the center console, next to the handbrake and front and rear door panels. The space in the central armrest in the front row is very large and practical, and the inside of the armrest box cover is also designed with independent storage space for common items such as cards and pens. The two cup holders with limit mechanisms on the central armrest in the back row are also very practical.
● Test drive feeling: strong power, suitable for road driving.
Sharp has an excellent power system. The maximum power of the 3.5L engine is 288 HP and the maximum torque is 336 Nm. In terms of power parameters, it is higher than other naturally aspirated engines with similar displacement.
Paired with the 3.5L V6 engine is a 6-speed automatic manual transmission, which has certain advantages compared with its main competitors. Shift in D mode is more active, mainly based on economy. When you step on the accelerator deeply, the gearbox will also make the speed rise to 4000 rpm before shifting gears.
Strong power is something I expected before the test drive. After all, the displacement of the engine reaches 3.5L and 288 horsepower. Daily driving is very easy, and you can get good power without stepping on the accelerator deeply. The brake pedal of the vehicle is very wide and the braking force is even. Left-footed parking is similar to Nissan. If it is the first time to use it, you will not be used to it.
Sharp is a standard road SUV. It doesn’t have strong off-road capability, but the road driving experience is excellent. On the multi-curved mountain road we test drive, Sharp has given full play to its advantages, and the suspension has strong toughness, giving drivers sufficient confidence. From the torque distribution diagram of the four wheels, it can be seen that the front drive is still dominant in daily driving, and when the big foot hits the throttle or the front wheel has insufficient grip, it will distribute more torque to the rear axle.
